JKUAT KILLINGS: Yet another JKUAT student stabbed, students vow to demonstrate

A JKUAT fresher has been hospitalized at the JKUAT hospital after been stabbed twice by unknown thugs.

The attack took place near Sunrise Hotel, Juja, at around 11.15pm on Tuesday.

Identified as Biwott Dennis Kipchirchir, the first-year student is said to be undertaking a BSc. Public Management and Development course in the leading institution.


According to reports, the student was stabbed twice on his stomach and shoulder.  However, nothing was stolen from him.

I have rushed him to JKUAT hospital where treatment is on. Nothing was stolen. He is to be referred to Thika Level 5 for further medication,” Solomon Krop, a 2.3 BSc. Nursing student, stated.

Apparently, comrades didn’t take this matter lightly and vowed to protest against the security issue around the JKUAT main campus area.

…I urge comrades to assemble at the basketball court at 8.00 am tomorrow for debriefing. A mother of all strikes may be an option,” read a comment from one of the students.

So far, this is the third incident to be reported this year. Just 8 months ago, a student by the name Mofasa Shawn was stabbed at 5.30pm near Seagull Hotel. Around 9 months ago, another student by the name Tabitha was slain in the same area.
