  1. Open your SIM Toolkit.

If you are using an Android phone, navigate to your app list then search for the name of the application, click on it so that it can start up. If you are using any other OS, go to your sim card menu.

  1. Select the line you want to use for the transaction.

If you use a dual smartphone, then you will be prompted to select either line 1 or 2. Choose the Simcard you want to make payments with.

  1. Choose Mpesa option.

Next, you will have to select the Mpesa option that will appear on the next screen so that you can be able to access the menu to pay NHIF.

  1. Select Lipa na Mpesa

Scroll down and select the second last option and then move to the next step.

  1. Key in your Mpesa pin.
