A JKUAT first-year student was stabbed to death on Thursday at 8 PM around seagull near highpoint.
According to reports, the first year COHRED (College of Human Resource and Development) student was walking with her friend before the incidence happened. Thieves stopped them and ordered the lady and her friend to give out their money and mobile phones.
Her friend co-operated, but she didn’t. This forced the thieves to stab her in the neck region.
The lady suffered major knife wounds in the neck area and was rushed to the JKUAT hospital.
Unfortunately, she passed away at the hospital due to excessive bleeding.
In a notice passed to all students, JKUSA officials called all students to a peaceful demonstration following the murder.
“This is to inform all students that we will be having a peaceful demonstration in Juja Enviros. Following series of killings, most recent having been on 7th Feb 2019 at Segal Hotel,” JKUSA officials wrote.
This comes barely a year after the body of the late Tabitha Kitaa Kiiti was found at Oasis hostels near gate C.
